Label Management

The Customer Labels Manager adds powerful label management to your Jira Service Management portal. Access it from two locations:

  1. Request Detail Panel - Manage labels on individual requests

  2. Portal User Menu - "Requests (Advanced Search with Labels)" - View all your requests


đŸˇī¸ Label Management (Request GUI)

➕ Creating a Label

  1. Click the + button next to existing labels

  2. Type the label name (without prefix - "customer:" added automatically)

  3. Select a color from the palette 🎨

  4. Click Add or press Enter

🎨 Color Coding

  • Choose from 8 colors: Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, Red, Purple, Teal, Pink

  • Colors are saved per label and appear consistently across all requests

  • Visual preview shows label with selected color before adding

❌ Removing a Label

  • Click the X on any label to remove it

  • Removal is immediate and synced with Jira

💡 Smart Suggestions

  • Start typing to see existing customer labels

  • Suggestions show existing labels with their colors

  • Prevents duplicate label creation


🔍 Advanced Search Dashboard

Access via Portal User Menu → "Requests (Advanced Search with Labels)"

📊 Request List Features

  • View all requests where you're reporter, creator, or participant

  • See key details: Status, Labels, Last Activity, Requester

📅 Date Filtering

For date fields, choose conditions:

  • On - Exact date match

  • Before - Up to selected date

  • After - From selected date onward

  • Range - Between two dates

🔄 Sorting

Click any column header to sort:

  • đŸ”ŧ Ascending

  • đŸ”Ŋ Descending

  • ↕ Default (unsorted)


📋 Expanded Request View

Click the â–ļ arrow next to any request to expand and see:

  • Full request description

  • Formatted text from ADF (Atlassian Document Format)

  • Project name

  • Assignee (if assigned)

  • Shared with - Users and organizations with access

  • Request Type with colored badge

  • Priority level

📤 Export Feature

Export all request data to CSV format:

How to Export

  1. Click đŸ“Ĩ Export All Data button (top-right)

    • Fetching request details

    • Collecting all comments

    • Formatting CSV

  3. File automatically downloads when complete

📁 Export Contents

Each CSV row includes:

  • Basic Info: Key, Summary, Status, Requester, User Role

  • Dates: Created, Last Activity

  • Metadata: Project, Assignee, Priority, Resolution

  • Shared With: List of users/organizations

  • Description: Full request description

  • Counts: Total comments and attachments

  • Comments: All comments in separate columns (chronological)
