Configuring Colorful Fields

  1. Go to Jira Settings → Work Item Settings→ Fields( Old version of Jira cloud is called Custom Fields).

  2. Click “Add custom field” and select from available field types under Advanced Tab.

    • Progress Field – For tracking completion percentages

    • Star Rating Field – For quality ratings and feedback

    • Emoji Selector Field – For emotional response tracking. Note that if you can’t find the field type, that is because JIRA cloud is upgrading, the classic view can help, please refer to this link:And follow the link to got the classic view of custom fields management GUI.

  3. Enter your preferred field name and associate with relevant screens

  4. For Progress and Star Rating fields, configure advanced settings by clicking “…” → “Contexts and default values”
